Where have I been?

This is going to be a bit of a short one, but providing a bit of an update on where I am and what I've been doing.

Essentially it all boils down to 2 main things IRL - work has been horrendous, with a lot of big launches meaning I've been extremely busy and doing a lot of out of hours, and we welcomed a third child 2 weeks ago.

The combo of the two means I've not had much time for EVE, though I have been trading here and there. I actually haven't even logged in since our baby was born aside from when the NES sale on Hypercores was active. I've got a little time this evening but I'm mainly sorting things out rather than working towards anything specific.

I did end up buying 120,000 PLEX for fairly cheap, and when the 3 for 1 hit on the NES store I converted it all into 3.6million HyperCores. This is massively over-committed to a single item but now that the sale is over I'm starting to cash out immediately. It will take time since I have about 20 days normal trade volume to shift but I'm hoping I can drip feed them in over the next few months and convert it back to cheaper PLEX. At current prices (214,000 ISK at time of writing) I will be up about 140Bn after taxes. That's huge! If the price hits 250k I could potentially make another 100Bn. Unlikely but maybe.

The other big thing that's happened in game is Goonswarm have decided to destroy all the lowsec freeports. This include EVEGuru's setup in Auner that I use. I won't actually lose any materials or blueprints as they'll be asset safetied to within the same system for 0.5% of value, so no concern there. I've essentially wound down my industry at the moment anyway while I research blueprints for freighter production. The only hit I will take (other than time) is that I have an expensive Charon ME research job that's currently paused, and will likely be wasted. I'll keep the blueprint though, I'll just be about 900mil worse off from losing the job cost.

I'll try and add in my normal updates over the coming week and catch up, but I'm planning on leaning back towards more trading ventures and just having industry being something I do in the background, more than a primary focus. TBD.
